Description of the general steps

• Clear History (Edit, Preferences, Clear History, Confirm). This will delete the record of where you have been. This record can be found by clicking "Go" on the top tool bar.

• Clear Location Bar (Edit, Preferences, Clear Location Bar, Confirm). This will delete the location of the websites that you visited. This can be found on the third tool bar from the top under "Location".

This is the last thing to do before you get off the Web.

CLEAR LOCATION BAR

After you've cleared your history, you are returned to the Preferences screen.

Once you click OK, the list of sites that you have visited will be deleted.

After you have cleared history and cleared location bar, make sure that your screen looks like the screen below. Note that the LOCATION: is BLANK. Now you can close Netscape and sign off.
