Family Violence Info Line Toll-free phone: 310-1818 Provides help dealing with family violence. Qualified operators are standing
by to help 24 hours a day, in over 170 languages.

Blairmore
Crowsnest Pass Women's Resource and Crisis Centre Phone: 403-562-8000 Serves as a central meeting place and drop-in facility. Encourages personal
growth for women and their families regardless of their ethical beliefs.
Offers programming, public education on women's and family issues, legal
resources, family violence counselling, referral and personal support, food
bank referral only, and baby layettes for needy mothers. Operates a clothing
store. Peer Support Services for Abused Women Phone: 403-234-7337 Provides peer support to abused women and their children. Programs include
support group, one on one support, self esteem workshops, information and
referrals.
Alberta Council of Women's Shelters Phone: 780-456-7000 Strengthens the sheltering movement in Alberta and works toward the elimination
of family violence. Fosters professional development within Alberta's sheltering
movement. Plans and coordinates development training for shelter directors,
staff, and board members. Edmonton Centre for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (ECSTT) Phone: 780-424-7709 Provides counselling services for refugees and immigrants whose past traumatic
experiences are still causing significant distress and emotional problems
in their present lives. Kara Family Resource Centre Phone: 780-478-5396 Main objective is to offer parenting and life skills training. Holds parent
and women support groups. Provides parenting courses, traditional Aboriginal
parenting groups, collective kitchens, and an intensive parenting and interaction
program for parents and their pre-school children.
The Support Network Phone: (780) 482-0198 The Support Network provides community information services, crisis intervention,
and suicide prevention. Its help lines are free, anonymous, confidential,
and available every hour, every day. Help is also available in person and
online. Lloydminster Sexual Assault and Information Centre Phone/24-hour help distress line: 306-825-8255 Offers support services for victims of sexual assault or child abuse and
their families. Provides one-on-one support; court, legal and medical accompaniment;
24-hour crisis line; educational and awareness services; and information
circles. Central Alberta Women's Outreach Society Phone: 403-347-2480 Provides services to women, children and families in Central Alberta who
are at a disadvantage through violence, abuse and/or poverty, by assisting
with support services and crisis management. Offers community information
and referral, advocacy and legal information. Programs include: cooperative
kitchen, battered women's support group, housing support program, furniture
program, social club, and crafts.
